What is Balloon-a-Palooza?

It's the largest round balloon art exhibit in the US.
Balloon-a-Palooza started in 2005 at the Mitchell Park Domes becoming an annual event due to the great success. The first year, 2005, over 9,000 people attend. Last year, over 12,000 people attended this unusal and spectacular balloon exhibit.

The 2007 theme is "Bedtime Stories" bringing all those fairytales we learned as kids back to life, but this time with balloons. Travel first through the Mitchell Park Lobby and on to "Story Village" located in the pavilion of Mitchell Park. This year we are expecting to use over 175,000 balloons with 32 artists and 7 days of hard work.

In addition we will exhibit Carmen Ballering's collection of Artex Sculptures made with uninflated balloons. Some of these sculptures have anywhere from 300 to 1,500 balloon.
