Florida Clown Day
Largo, Florida, USA

Florida Clown Day is an annual event created by our alley in 1998. Clowns are invited to Largo Central Park and come in from all over to paint kids faces, twist balloon animals, hand out helium balloons, do close up magic, walk stilts, blow bubbles or just do walkarounds to amuse the families in the park.

The City of Largo co-hosts the event which runs in conjunction with the "Touch A Truck" event on the same Saturday. All kinds of large trucks come into the park and kids can climb all over them, honk the horns, pretend to drive the big rigs and when they have had their fill of big trucks, they can wander over to the big tents in front of the Cultural Center and take in Florida Clown Day. While there are other paid activities in the park, what the clowns do is all free to the public. We also invite families in to the Cultural Center to check out the clown vendor's inventory. It's a fun-filled day in a beautiful park and with over 100 clowns to tickle your funny bone and brighten your day.

Florida Clown Day has grown in popularity every year since 1998 with crowds estimated at between 10,000 and 15,000 nice folks who come to share the outpouring of love from the smiling, helpful clowns. Come by and join us - information will also be available about the next clown class.
